And old fashioned places to stay for a night. Not much to do here
Choosing Season Pass Inn, I was looking for a local place to stay that was not too expensive. This place was a simple inn, nothing too fancy but has a lot of charm. Staff were friendly, had good information on local places to go. Room was basic, roomy, with an old time charm. The bathroom was extremely small (especially for a large person), only one person at a time could be in there, shower only, no tub. Indoor pool and spa were basic, nothing fancy. Location of inn was great, right off of highway, short drive to shops and restaurants. Best part of the stay was the breakfast, the usual cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, coffee, juice, but the big plus were the homemade items, bread, muffins, wonderful. Good deal for $99/night, charming cozy atmosphere.
The only reason we gave this place a three was because the rooms were a bit old. Otherwise, this was a nice place to stay with great service and breakfast (tasty with lots of healthy options!). Stowe is an adorable town. We spoke with the hotel manager for at least a half an hour (very nice guy), and he knows the Stowe area well, so be sure to ask him anything about the area. Pretty quiet and affordable!
